What it is
Treasure Hunters is a Fortnite mini-season that launched on November 1, 2026, and is described by GameRant as a Chapter 7 mini-season. It arrived alongside a One Piece crossover and a new map reported as Crossbone Isle. Chests in Battle Royale can roll a treasure reward, and one of the rarest of those is the Pirate Shop token.
The in-game pop-up, as shared by the first finder and quoted by TheGamer, says you can claim anything sold for V-Bucks in the Fortnite Item Shop for free for 14 days from activation. Shacknews described it as one of the biggest bonuses players have seen in the game.

Limits you should know first
The token is not a blank cheque. Real-money offers, gifting and Battle Pass levels and rewards are excluded, and you can claim only one Sidekick you do not already own. The full split is on the free item shop page.
Timing matters too. The 2026 token has to be activated by December 15, 2026, and the 2027 token has its own window. Details and the exact activation path are on the activation page.
How rare is it?

Frequently asked questions
Are the Pirate Shop Token and the Fortnite item shop token the same thing?
Yes. Outlets use Pirate Shop Token and Pirate Shop Access Token, and players also search for it as the pirate token, shop token or item shop token. They all mean the same reward.
Does the token give free V-Bucks?
No. It lets you claim Item Shop items that normally cost V-Bucks, for free, for 14 days. It does not add V-Bucks to your balance.
Do I keep the items after the 14 days end?
A finder who used it reported that items claimed through the Pirate Shop are permanent, and that Jam Tracks are included. This is a player report relayed by Dexerto, not an Epic statement.
Is the token available after Treasure Hunters ends?
Shacknews says the Pirate Shop is available only during the mini-season. If you find a token, a second one is reported to cover 2027 activation, up to December 15, 2027.
